All Natural Vitamins

A vitamin is a nutrient that has essential amounts of metabolic reactions found in living organisms.

Many people may have thought that all vitamins were natural but you would be surprised in knowing that not all vitamins are natural. Unnatural vitamins or more commonly known as synthetic vitamin are vitamins that are made in a lab. Those who are advocated of natural vitamins argue that the man made vitamins are actually useless because when you alter the original make up of a vitamin and therefore are changing the chemical structure of the vitamin which the vitamin looses it’s effectiveness.

Back in the 1700’s when there were no chemical supplements, people used vitamins to stay in good health. At the time they based their health on the types of food they ate not because they knew that Vitamin C would help scurvy. The Egyptians used live to cure night blindness, they knew liver was a good food source and because Vitamin A would work wonders for night blindness.

In the 19th century, there were many cases of scurvy but the medical theories were that it could be kept under controlled and cured by good personal hygiene, today we know that is not true. Some examples of natural vitamins are Vitamin C: There are no changes to the molecular makeup of the orange or fruits where vitamin C is found. They come from plant sources and remain intact.

The Vitamins that are essential for normal growth for people are considered natural vitamins. Vitamin B9 which is considered a Folic Acid is a water soluble vitamin. It is essential during pregnancy , it is associated with birth defects is not enough B9 is present. Vitamin D which is a fat soluble vitamin is used in the cure for Rickets.

Sometimes it can be difficult when you aren’t sure what vitamins are natural. It is better to get your vitamins form your foods. Foods will also provide the right amount of minerals. Sunflower seeds are a great food containing all natural vitamins. Fresh fruits and vegetables are the best . The synthetic vitamins are powered so if you see cherry powder in your fruit cake then you know that it is a synthetic vitamin.

Whole Food supplements are a great way to get your vitamin fix, the word whole means that the food does not have any parts of foods or synthetic vitamins. Examples of whole foods are carrots, broccoli, kale, wheat grass, acerola cherry, cauliflower and radishes are just some samples of natural vitamins.

Natural vitamins are a good source of the daily intake you need to keep healthy. If you want to really stand by natural vitamins only, then you should go to the local health food store and ask them if they have a list of what vitamins are natural and which are not. Follow the list and you can stick to an all natural vitamin.

The synthetic vitamins are not bad for you but they cannot provide you with a healthy life because they have been altered.
